At this group exhibition, a special section was devoted to Julius Voegtli (1879 – 1944), one of the forerunners of Impressionism in Switzerland. Hans Vögtli, the grandson of the artist was also present at the opening.

International contemporary art exhibition “Recognition of New Artistic Voices in Kunming” was held at Dounan Art Museum in Kunming, China from 16.12.2017 to 25.01. 2018.

The theme of the exhibition was “Recognition of New Artistic Voices in Kunming”. This exhibition showed how each individual artist from the West created his/ her own voice and was represented in a multicultural, multi-colorful art scene of the East. The main purpose of Dounan Art Museum and Pashmin Art Consortia through presenting this vast scope of artists was to bridge the cultural and artistic gap between different cultures and countries .
