Hong Art Museum, CHONGQING 2020 – GLOBAL ART MAGAZINE
On January 10, 2020 at 2 pm, the largest art event in the world’s largest metropolis (Chongqing) opened. The major international modern and contemporary art exhibition in Chongqing was organized by HongYiJiuZhou International Culture and Art Center and PASHMIN ART CONSORTIA and hosted by Hong Art Museum in Chongqing. The works of 46 international artists are on display there until March 31, 2020. The exhibition was appreciated by 19 consuls general from the embassies and consulates of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Hungary, Belarus, Uruguay, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Pakistan from Beijing and Chengdu. Various government departments of Chongqing also advised to meet the event. Speeches were delivered by Mr. Nour Nouri (Director of Pashmin Art Consortia), Dr. Davood Khazaie, Wolfgang Rudischhauser (German Consul General in Chengdu), Jackie Zhang (Director and President of Hong Art Museum), Conny Camenzind (Consul General of Switzerland in Chengdu) and Deng Jianqiang, Vice Chairman of ChongqingArtists Association and Director of Chongqing Art Museum. Mr. Nouri spoke about the importance of cultural exchange between the countries. Dr. Khazaie interpreted the curatorial statement. Consul General Rudischhauser emphasized the need for these major exhibitions to open the perspectives of other cultures. Mr. Zhang stated that Chongqing is open to more art and culture activities of different countries. Consul General Camenzind spoke about the artist Julius Voegtli (1879-1944) and showed her embassy’s interest in more events like this. Mr. Jianqiang also explained the simultaneity of the artworks and their high artistic values.
