About the Exhibition:
Art and commerce. These two things together are seen by many artists as a bit of a controversial mix, and one easily becomes a little insecure. Maybe it's because art cannot be created with profit in mind, but because it is an inner necessity. A work calls for the artist, who occasionally tries to resist it, but who eventually has to surrender. Everyday life is filled with joy when you work on your art hour after hour. One knows a great reward awaits. Is there anything better than gaining self-knowledge? Something that comes from one's deep within, and thanks to talent, sees the daylight. A work that is shaped by one's inner drives. Why not let other people see it? People who might also enjoy it and are too happy to enter into dialogue with you and your work?
