At 4 p.m. on 5 December 2025, the Rothko Museum opened its winter season with five exhibitions, led by “Tensions and Transitions” — a major project organised by Pashmin Art Consortia (Germany), uniting eight international artists —Zhang Dawo, Peter Backhaus, Horst Wagner, Fant Wenger, Reinhard Hanke, Holger Dempwolff, Sonia Parchet, and Anna van den Hövel—exploring emotional and spiritual shifts in today’s rapidly changing world.
The season also featured:
• Meda Norbutaitė – an ironic take on contemporary anxieties
• Solveiga Gutautė – meditative shadow-paintings
• Rokas Dovydėnas – a dialogue between porcelain and robotics
• Diana Rudokienė – atmospheric dream-topographies
The exhibitions run from 5 December 2025 to 8 February 2026.
